Today in this article we will be talking about the “God of Mischief” Loki Release Date, Second Season Confirmed. Loki is an upcoming American science fiction superhero streaming television miniseries. It is created by Michael Waldron. It is based on the American comic book character “Loki” which was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber and published by Marvel Comics. Loki is directed by Kate Herron whereas it is executive produced by Michael Waldron, Kevin Feige, Kate Herron, and Stephen Broussard under the production company Marvel Studios.
It is written by Michael Waldron itself whereas cinematography is done by Autumn Gerald and it is distributed by Disney Media Distribution. The film is produced in the location of Atlanta, Georgia. Loki miniseries is created to air on its original network Disney+.
In September 2018, Disney+ was looking to developed a series on supporting character in MCU who has not starred in their own film like “Loki”. Later, the development of the Loki series has been confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger. In February 2019, head writer and executive producer Michael Waldron was got hired. This year in January 2020, the filming of this miniseries has been begun. Under the working title “River Cruise” the series is filmed. After one month in February, in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, the location shooting has taken place. But later due to the coronavirus pandemic the shooting of the series got suspended on 14th March 2020 and after almost 5 months in September 2020, the shooting got resumed at Pinewood Atlanta studios. Again one more month of shooting is remaining till mid-November.

Earlier it was expected to be released in late 2020, but due to covid-19 shooting got stopped and everything got postponed. Still, they are yet to finish with the shooting, hence the confirmed release date is yet to be declared. But they have announced that the Loki is expected to be streaming on Disney + in early 2021. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU and will have a total of six episodes. One more good news is, recently in November 2020, they have made the announcement for the second season as well and they scheduled the filming to begin in January 2020 which will be filmed under the working title “Architect”.
As per the cast is a concern, then Tom Hiddleston will play the role of Loki, along with him we will be seeing Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, etc whose role is yet to disclose. Also, we will be seeing Richard E. Grant will be in a guest appearance.
The story will be totally based on Loki’s character who is an adoptive brother of Thor as per Norse Mythology. Loki is also known as the “God of Mischief” because of his magical powers. Last we have seen Loki in Avenger End game where he disappeared with time stone. So in this series, we might expect to see Loki traveling in different timelines and as per the teaser, we will be seeing TVA(Time Variance Authority) whose work is to catch the people who misuse the timeline, and hence they will catch Loki.
We also expect to see the 3 timelines traveling of Loki with 3 different characters like his childhood, he himself, and a female version of him. So far we have seen Loki as a side character or a villain, now we will be getting to see him as the main character of his own film and that will be very interesting to see and know more about Loki’s powers and many other things.
