Today, in this article we will be talking about the Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Delayed Again. Cyberpunk is a huge six regions based action playing a video game which is developed by CD Projekt Red. It was announced in May 2012 followed by a teaser trailer out in January 2013. They started working on this game in 2016 after the finished of The Witcher 3 with more than 500 team members currently. Cyberpunk 2077 is a very big project for CD Projekt where they have used REDengine 4 which is the latest iteration in the series.
This will be an open-world game where players can get a lot many options to explore in a realistic way. After working for 4 years rigorously, they finally announced the first release date of Cyberpunk 2077 and it was 16th April 2020 this year. But later they delayed this release date to 17th September 2020 to make some changes in-game. Later again the team has made an announcement of the delay in the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 to 19th November to balance the game and to fix some bugs.
After already delaying the release date three times, again in later October team has made the announcement for delaying the release date once again for the fourth time. Before this delayed release date CD Projekt Red has announced on 5th October 2020 that Cyberpunk 2077 had gone gold, which means it is now ready to release, hence game lovers have already been waiting for 19th November to get access to Cyberpunk 2077. But just after some weeks they again announced the delay and due to this, after waiting so long, the audience got disappointed again.
Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Delayed Again
Recently director Adam Badowski and writer Marcin Iwinski have posted on Twitter about the delay in the release date by 21 days from the previously scheduled date, which is now scheduled to be released on 10th December 2020. First of all, they have asked for apologies from the audience because of the delay, and later they gave the reason why they delayed the date. They stated their biggest problem right now they are facing is to shipping the game on PC, current-gen and next-gen and for that purpose, they need to prepare with 9 versions along with their testings includes compatibility of Xbox series SIX, Xbox One/X, Compatibility on PS5, PS4/Pro, Stadia and PC. As they are focusing on next-gen, they want it to be run smoothly and work with every version. So currently they are working on the same hence the date got postponed.
They also stated, going gold means the game is completed and ready but it doesn’t mean they stop working on the same for raising a quality bar and said this is the only time they can do the many improvements. They believe Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing game on which they are working and want it to perfect to play after releasing and for that they want to do anything, take any hardest decision to provide such a game which will be loved by users. As per the rumors, it might get delayed again till early 2021 but as of now we have a fixed date given by the team which is 10th December 2020 and we do hope it won’t delay again.
