Today in this article we will be talking about the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Film Earns NT$270 Million In Taiwan After 10 Days. It is a Japanese 2020 anime film based on the young teen male manga series named “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” which was written by Koyoharu Gotoge. It is a direct sequel of the series which was released in 2019. It is directed and produced by Haruo Sotozaki and Ufotable whereas it is written by Koyoharu Gotouge.
The animation of the movie is done by Akira Matsushima whereas the music is composed of Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura. The cinematography is done by Yuichi Terao and it is edited by Manabu Kamino whereas it is distributed by Aniplex and Toho.
The film was announced on 28th September 2019 just after the airing of 26 episodes of the series along with the announcement of the cast and staff reprising their roles. On 10th April 2020, the film release date has been announced and it got scheduled to be released in Japan on 16th October 2020. The movie scheduled to be released in Taiwan just after the 15th day of the original release on 30th October 2020.

In Japan, on the first day, it broke the record by earning 1.2 billion yen or $ 11.3 million whereas on its opening weekend total grossed earned was 4.6 billion yen or $ 44 million. Even though the covid pandemic and the safety measures taken by theaters it became the top-grossing film worldwide with the best three opening weekends ever in Japanese theaters. Later it crossed 10 billion yen or $ 100 million in 10 days and became the fastest movie in the history of the Japanese box office.
On 30th October 2020 released in Taiwan, earned a total of NT$270 million around US$9.53 million or around 1 billion yen in the Taiwanese box office in just 10 days. In Taiwan, it became the highest opening animated film ever by selling told 4,70,000 tickets in three days to earn about US$4.09 million or 430 million yen and NT$117 million. It even crossed the earning record of your name and Frozen 2 movies. Despite Covid-19, many anime lovers were gathered to watch the anime film in Taiwanese theaters.
In Japan, it became the fastest film to cross 20 billion yen and even became the fifth highest-grossing film by surpassing the record of Spirited Away which was released in 2001 and earned 10 billion yen in just 19 days and was in a record of 19 years. Infinity Train also secured the highest-grossing second-weekend record and even topped not only Japan but also all international box office for so many weeks. Overall it became the second-highest-grossing animated film of 2020 and secures a seventh place in the world record of earning the highest gross amount in 2020.
In Cooperation with Funimation films, this anime will be released in North America in 2021 theatrically which is licensed the film by Aniplex of America.
