A woman who found an entertaining note left by her late granddad shows exactly how truly a few people still take the yearly custom – to the satisfaction in a large number of others on the web.
Alex, from Cardiff, took to Twitter to share a photograph of note wrote by her granddad, found in his assets years after he died. She shared a photograph of the piece of paper with the caption: “My granddad passed on eight years ago.”
The manually written record of individuals who might almost certainly have been struck off the Christmas card list for the next year had 16 guilty people who had challenged not to participate in the convention under the underlined heading of ‘Xmas cards not got’.
Alex uncovered she had been fortunate enough to get away from the list – however her sibling and two of her cousins were not all that fortunate.
After one answer proposed ‘it may not be as weird as it looks’ as her mom does likewise as she is old it’s conceivable the individuals have died.
Another called it ‘the most British thing that is ever occurred’ and Alex included another tale of her amazing grandad, saying: Yes and this is the man who at a 60’s extravagant dress party transformed from a kaftan to a shirt and bind to feel great.”
