Georgia Woman Accused of Borrowing Badge to Get What She Wants

A Georgia probation officer has surrendered and her companion has been captured for obtaining that official’s badge to get free snacks at a QuikTrip.

WSB-TV reports 33-year-old Pektra LaQuiche Edgerton was captured and accused of imitating an official. Gwinnett County Police Officer J.T. Smith says he saw Edgerton inside the QuikTrip with badge and gun mentioning free snacks and her activities appeared to be suspicious.

Smith’s body cam film demonstrates he pulled Edgerton over and she was all the while wearing the badge. The recording demonstrates Edgerton conceding that her traveler, Brandi Green, was an official with the Department of Community Supervision, who let her obtain the gun and badge. The division says Green was suspended however later surrendered.

The outlet says Edgerton hasn’t reacted to remark demand as of Thursday.
