Library Book Borrowed in 1967 Returned Back With a Cheque for Fine

A reader has returned a library book 52 years after it was acquired, encasing a £100 check to cover the fine. The manager of Lowestoft Library said she was astounded when the duplicate of The Metaphysical Poets touched base in the post – alongside a covering letter clarifying the postponement. They said they settled after moving around a great deal and found the book.

According to Ms. Wilde. They were humiliated and can just think they took it out while remaining in Lowestoft in the late 1960s with their folks, and encased the book and check. The book, which has a date stamp indicating it was expected in 1967, will be come back to the library’s group.

Ms. Wilde, who opened the bundle containing the book, stated that she was shocked. The library does get books back after a long time yet that is the longest they’ve at any point known. She included that She’s satisfied they sent it back as she might suspect a few people would be excessively humiliated and keep it.
