Lake Natron – the petrifying lake
This lake in Tanzania is a terrifying lake which turns animals into statues. It is said that any animal who dies in this African lake is turned into a statue through the process of calcification. Due to the presence of higher levels of sodium bicarbonate, it is certain that they are turned into mummies.
Spotted Lake Kliluk
This lake in British Columbia, Canada is considered to be the most mineralised lake in the entire world. It has 365 of these spots which are said to hold a unique chemical content which helps in curing different diseases.
Underwater park, Green Lake in Tragoess
This underwater park is located in Austria, it is known to be one of the strangest places on the planet. It is a park which genuinely goes underwater during the spring season. This park is created every year when the snow from the surrounding mountains melts.
Christ of the Abyss
A favourite place of sea divers and is considered one of the weirdest place on the earth. This place in Italy has a 2.50 metres tall bronze statue of Jesus Christ which is under water. This statue sank in the Italian Riviera near Portofino, which is coincidentally the place where the famous Italian diver Duilo Merchant had died.
This river is located in Columbia, the weird thing about this river is that in summer months the Columbian river actually turns red. This is because that the river bed is covered by a really distinctive species of plant. Which turns the river into a deep red.
