American comedian Bill Cosby has been found guilty in three cases of sexual harassment. In each of these cases, he can be sentenced to 10 years in jail. The judge has ordered that Cosby will stay in prison until the punishment is heard.
On the 80-year-old actor, a former basketball player Andrea Constand is being sued for drug abuse and sexual abuse in 2014.
Cosby was the first major Black Actor of American Primetime TV. He is recognized for the 1980s television series The Cosby Show.
After the verdict was pronounced, when the prosecution examined Cosby for not being granted bail, then they used the abuse.
The prosecutor said that Cosby should be kept in jail as he has “too much property” and he can run away from private plane. Furious, Cosby used the abuse and told the prosecutor that ‘I do not have a plane.’
More than 60 allegations
In the last five decades, nearly 60 women have been accused of sexual harassment on the Cosby who won the Emmy Award.
This time, many women who were accused in the court during the trial, were present in the court. Some of these accusations were seen crying while convicting Cosby.
Meanwhile, Cosby’s lawyer Tom Meziro said that “the fight is not over yet.” He said that he believes that Cosby is innocent and is planning to file an appeal against the decision.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, who is suing Cosby, has held a press conference after the decision.
He said, “Money, power or your personality can not prevent us from examining the crime and prosecution.”
